JV Patriots Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against Roxboro Community

Franklin Academy JV Patriots and Roxboro Community played a taut affair on Tuesday, but Patriots eventually prevailed 7-6 after taking the lead for good in the fifth inning. The Patriots trailed 6-5 in the top of the fifth inning when Corey Martin singled off of Josh Oakley, driving in one run.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as 2017 Franklin Academy JV Patriots collected eight hits and Roxboro Community six. Corey Martin and Alfonso Bardes each drove in two runs to lead Patriots. The Patriots tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Trey Shuler led the way with two.

A rematch will be played Wednesday at Flaherty Park.
