Franklin Academy Patriots Varsity (9-3, 3-2)  and Friendship Christian traded the lead back-and-forth on Tuesday, but eventually Franklin Academy prevailed 11-5. The Patriots took the lead for good in the fifth inning; down 5-4 in the top of the fifth inning when Will Armistead grounded out, scoring two runs.  Zach Taylor had 3 more RBIs, pushing his total to 18 on the season - second in the conference.  

Corey Martin (1-2) earned the win for Franklin Academy. He threw five and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs, three hits, and striking out six.  Martin made a spectacuar defensive play in the 6th inning.  When the batter hit a pop-up toward the first base dugout, Martin sprinted full speed after the ball.  He jumped as he collided with the fence, reaching over the fence, into the dugout, catching the ball for an out.  He also had the first varsity hit of his career.  

The Franklin Academy Patriots had 13 hits in the game. Trevor Rohrs, Chandler Williams, Isaac Wier, and Jason Plant each collected multiple hits for Franklin Academy. Williams and Rohrs had three hits to lead the way.  The Patriots tore up the base paths, stealing 8 bases.
