- Franklin Academy Patriots Varsity fought back after falling down by five runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 7-5 defeat to Louisburg on Thursday. Franklin Academy scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Zachary Taylor in the sixth, a single by Jason Plant in the sixth, and a double by Will Armistead in the seventh.

- After Louisburg scored two runs in the top of the sixth, Franklin Academy answered with two of their own. The Patriots then answered when Zachary Taylor singled off of Wilder, driving in one run and Jason Plant singled off of Wilder, driving in one run.
