Isaac Wier (1-0) tossed a complete game 1-hitter and drove in three RBIs with a bases loaded triple. Wier only walked one batter and struck out 11. His 5th inning bases loaded triple allowed the flood gates to open as the patriots scored eight to mercy rule Southern High School by a score of 11-1. Spencer Callihan drove in the winning run with an RBI single in the 5th.
The bats started cold but came alive late. Will Armistead had two hits, including a triple. Zach Taylor crushed a bases-loaded ground rule double, just missing a grand slam. He drove in 3 runs on the day. The Partriots ran wild, stealing 10 bases on the day, with Trevor Rohrs stealing 3 and Lucas Wier and Isaac Wier swiping 2 each. Davis Joyner got the first stolen base and run scored of his high school career.
