Franklin Academy Patriots Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-1 loss to Voyager Academy on Tuesday. The score does not reflect how well the Patriots played.
- Aaron Beasley, a junior committed to Duke University, earned the win for Voyager Academy. He pitched five innings, giving up one run, seven hits, and striking out six. Corey Martin (0-1) took the loss for Franklin Academy Patriots Varsity. He went two innings, giving up seven runs (zero earned runs), and five hits.
- Franklin Academy Patriots Varsity had a respectable seven hits in the game, but could not push the runs across against the hard throwing lefty. Seniors Jacob Joyner and Lucas Wier each collected multiple hits for the second straight game. Isaac Wier drove in his 5th RBI of the season.
- The Patriots (1-1, 0-1) take on Southern at home TODAY at 5pm.
