Robert Driver led the Patriots in a 4-1 win over STM Academy by pitching a complete game 1-hitter while striking out 11 batters.  Seniors Alfred D’Ottavio and Jacob Faulkner made their Senior Game memorable on defense.  D’Ottavio called the entire game and picked off yet another runner.  Faulkner made many defensive plays; including a spectacular grab of a line drive in short left field in the final inning.  The Patriots 4th run of the game, on a steal of home, broke the single season team record for runs scored with 145 - the 2014 squad had 144 runs.  

Lucas and Isaac Wier had 2 hits each.  Lucas added a stolen base (36) to increase his lead in that category for the entire state of North Carolina.  Driver, Nic Fernandez, Zach Taylor, and Trevor Rohrs provided got hits as well.. Third baseman Rohrs made several ESPN worthy plays; including another diving grab of a line drive down the third base line that ended the game. 

The state tournament begins for the Patriots this week with an away game TBD.
