EAST WAKE ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Franklin Academy finished 4th in the golf match yesterday, which was hosted by East Wake Academy at Zebulon Country Club. Though the weather was less than optimal, and the team did not finish as well as hoped, there were several things to be encouraged by. Senior Megan Saunders shot her best round of her high school career, carding a 53. Junior Madison Harris, who picked golf just over a month and a half ago, carded a 63.
Senior Carly Jarvis is having a great season. She has carried the team’s lowest scoring average this season, a 53 per 9 holes.
Seniors Abigail Thomas and Taylor Harris, as well as Freshman Cameron Lewis, have also made valuable contributions to the team this season.
The next match is scheduled for Monday September 18th at Treyburn Country Club.
