FA sent a record number of players to the East Regional. Six players qualified this time. We had 5 last year, our previous record. In singles we had Abby Armistead and Kali Sibillia.. In doubles we had Ashlynn and Niamh Stephan, and Sydney Sibillia and Isabelle Murphy. All of our entries won their first round matches except for Kali who drew the tournament #3 seed from Raleigh Charter. Sibillia/Murphy lost in the second round to the eventual 2nd place team from Chatham Central. The Stephans won both matches on Friday to advance, as did Abby in singles, beating, in 3 sets, a player from Raleigh Charter. Ashlynn and Niamh eventually finished 3rd in doubles and Abby fourth in singles. Those 3 are moving on to States in Cary, Friday October 26. Way to go Patriots!!
