Franklin Academy vs Granville
The Franklin Academy Patriots faced off against the Granville panthers at
home on Wednesday (August 23, 2017), for the Men's Junior Varsity Soccer game. It was a low
scoring game for both of the teams but with eight minutes and twenty two seconds left in the game they scored the go ahead goal against the Patriots. With a final score of 1-0, the Granville Panthers took
away the win. Although the Patriots did lose this game there were several players that stood out during the match. Jonathan Barnes had a good day at the goalkeeper position with over four saves in the second half of play. Also, the Patriot defenders including Seth Clifton and Ryan Franklin did a great job in keeping the ball out of the backfield.
